The start will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning in downtown Robinson, Kansas. Donations for the Missy Newell Fund will be accepted, but are not required. There will be no formal registration and this will be treated like a group ride.
More info:
The Fifth Annual Sprint de Robinson is alive and well, but definitely scaled back. After struggling to put together a date and knowing that the logistics of several routes and categories was too much to take on in 2008, it was finally decided to go for a single ride on Saturday, September 27. Some details are still to be determined, but expect the event to be focused on the same 25-mile road route as 2007.
The expectation is to treat the event as more of a ride this year and much more informal -- it's a strong possibility that there will be no lead or follow cars. For those that only have mountain bikes, there will likely be a shorter cut-off route.
One tradition that will be carried on though is the SDR Cup. The first rider to complete the 25-mile route will be awarded the Cup.
