The Fifth Annual Sprint de Robinson is alive and well, but definitely scaled back. After struggling to put together a date and knowing that the logistics of several routes and categories was too much to take on in 2008, it was finally decided to go for a single ride on Saturday, September 27. Some details are still to be determined, but expect the event to be focused on the same 25-mile road route as 2007.
The expectation is to treat the event as more of a ride this year and much more informal -- it's a strong possibility that there will be no lead or follow cars. For those that only have mountain bikes, there will likely be a shorter cut-off route.
One tradition that will be carried on though is the SDR Cup. The first rider to complete the 25-mile route will be awarded the Cup.
